It’s great to hear you’re interested in being a guest contributor to the Make a Difference news portal

Our mission is to accelerate the shift from stigma to solutions by ensuring every employer – whatever their size – has access to the insight, inspiration and contacts they need to make a real difference to workplace culture, mental health and wellbeing.

We take a whole-person perspective covering mental, physical, financial and social wellbeing as well as workplace design.

By looking at the future of work through the lens of mental health and wellbeing, our ambition is to have a global influence on creating inclusive working cultures that drive performance whilst looking after human capital.

The Make a Difference news portal is a forum principally for employers, putting mental health and wellbeing at the heart of a cross-industry, cross-functional agenda. Our goal is to bring to life best practices in our fast-evolvingsector; helping employers to navigate the maze of solutions available, stay abreast of trends and develop sustainable, measurable plans that have real impact.

This includes case studies that illustrate how employers are creating robust and wellbeing programmes; examples of workplace cultures, workplace designs and management practices that enable employees to not just survive but thrive; insights into the latest developments in technologies that support mental health and wellbeing; reports showcasing fresh insights and trends; commentary on the socio-economic environment and policies affecting mental health in the workplace; as well as personal stories that illustrate a key point.

Guidelines:

  • Articles should range from 500 words (single clear point expressed in depth) to 1200 words (longer case studies or multifaceted arguments), divided up with subheadings
  • A hook should be included in the opening paragraph to draw the reader in
  • We recommend using short paragraphs and keeping sentences short
  • We do not publish sales pitches or pure opinion pieces
  • For longer/deeper treatments then consider pitching a series of articles that cover the topic in accessible pieces
  • We include a 100 wordprofessional mini-profile as part of your author page
  • Images submitted must be accompanied by full rights and credit information or we are unable to use them and reserve the right to substitute imagery of our own

Please note:
All submissions must be exclusive and not published elsewhere either previously or subsequently. If you have a cherished piece published elsewhere then do let us know by emailing editor@makeadifference.media, since we do occasional roundups for our community.

When submitting a pitch or an article for review: Please include your biography and any other information that will help us learn about who you are and your experience and expertise.
